MWPR, Inc. offers over 30 years of comprehensive experience in creating, planning, executing, managing and promoting products, messages, programs, events and strategies. Our consultants have worked with and for a number of Fortune 200 and 500 corporations, national and ethnic media organizations, government agencies, as well as civic and non-profit organizations. A short list of relevant experience that the team possesses includes, but is not limited to, is the following:

  • Managed media and community attack on the character and reputation of a nationally-known and respected church leader that included providing messaging, media training and on-going counseling.

  • Managed the media relations efforts for a nationally recognized non-profit organization’s annual gala. Successfully arranged several pre/post interviews for the organization’s representatives and prominent celebrity guests that included Oprah Winfrey, Cicely Tyson and Donnie McClurkin with local and national print, radio and TV media.

  • Created, implemented and managed a full crisis management plan for national organization representing both the national headquarters and the over 20,000 members throughout US, Europe and the Caribbean.

  • Created a highly successful branding campaign to launch a new national publication; created in partnership by a Chicago-based publishing company and a national civic engagement organization. The campaign was incorporated into all aspects of its annual conference and is now the foundation of all its marketing, promotion and editorial efforts.

  • Managed full publicity campaign for self-published author that included creating press kits, drafting speaking points, designing marketing collateral, arranging book signings, introducing book to over 100 local/national book clubs, festivals, libraries and, literary/general media and coordinating media interviews. Efforts resulted in signings at two national book chains and current sales in area Black-owned bookstore with multiple locations. The book was featured in Essence Magazine.

  • Managed the overall communications outreach for the nation’s oldest Black Greek-lettered fraternity’s 100th celebration that resulted in coverage in national media including CSPAN, JET and Ebony magazines and BET.
